FAQ

Transparent answers about how we train, compete, and support families at Tualatin Valley Volleyball Club.

Club Volleyball Basics

What is Club Volleyball?

Club volleyball is organized outside of the school season (typically winter–spring). Teams practice weekly and compete in regional events. It's a chance to get more touches, grow confidence, and keep playing with friends.

Why play Club Volleyball?

More meaningful reps, better competition, and a supportive team environment. Whether preparing for high school/college or playing for fun, club accelerates learning.

How does TVVC differ?

Accessible & local (lower costs, less travel), joy-first culture, smaller rosters (more court time), and modern training focused on decision-making.

Logistics & Costs

How much does it cost?

We keep costs significantly lower than traditional clubs. We provide a clear breakdown before registration and avoid surprise fees.

Where are practices?

Practices are held at TVVC, 2820 SE 58th Court, Hillsboro, OR 97123.

What is the time commitment?

Typically 2 practices per week plus local tournaments. We support multi-sport athletes and healthy balance.

Development

Can my child play multiple sports?

Absolutely. We encourage multi-sport participation—great for coordination, resilience, and long-term development.

How do tryouts work?

Held each November. We evaluate how players perceive, decide, and act in game-realistic settings alongside their technical skills.
