Age Group Teams

Our club teams compete in the CEVA region and train in Hillsboro. Each team is built around our ecological approach — game-based, connected, and joyful learning.

Foundation Phase

12U–14U — Build the Foundation

Fun, supportive environment focused on building confidence and game understanding through play-based learning. We emphasize joy, teamwork, and the fundamentals of volleyball.

Development Phase

15U–16U — Grow Through the Game

Developing skills while learning to read the game in real-time. We focus on decision-making and communication in a growth-first environment where development matters more than outcomes.

Competitive Phase

17U–18U — Lead with Confidence

A competitive space for athletes to elevate skills and leadership. Whether pursuing college volleyball or finishing their club journey, we focus on meaningful training and personal growth.

Standard Payment Plan:

  • $230 Down Payment
  • 5 Monthly Payments of $184 (Jan–May)

No player will be turned away due to finances. Reach out — we'll make it work.

We're not just looking for the most skilled players — we're looking for athletes who are curious, coachable, and excited to grow. At TVVC, our tryouts focus on learning potential, effort, attitude, and how players connect with others on the court. Registration is now open!

  • 12U–14U: November 9, 5:00–7:00 PM
    Location: South Meadows Middle School
    Parking lot accessed off SE Brookwood Ave, next to the football field.
  • 15U: November 16, 1:30–3:30 PM
    Location: Century High School
    Park in the north parking lot next to the football field. Enter through the north entrance.
  • 16U: November 16, 4:00–6:00 PM
    Location: Century High School
    Park in the north parking lot next to the football field. Enter through the north entrance.
  • 17U–18U: November 16, 6:30–8:30 PM
    Location: Century High School
    Park in the north parking lot next to the football field. Enter through the north entrance.

What to Bring

  • USAV Membership Required: Purchase a Girls Tryout Membership via CEVA. If you make a team, this tryout membership cost will be applied to your full season membership.
  • Athletic attire and volleyball shoes
  • Water bottle and small towel

Age Group Guide

Based on age on June 30, 2026; we recommend using school grade when eligible.

  • 6th grade = 12U
  • 7th grade = 13U
  • 8th grade = 14U
  • 9th grade = 15U
  • 10th grade = 16U
  • 11th grade = 17U
  • 12th grade = 18U

Please contact us at info@tualatinvalleyvb.com — we can often arrange an alternate evaluation.

Do returning players need to try out?

Yes — every season begins fresh so we can fairly assess growth and new players.

How are players evaluated?

We assess learning potential, effort, attitude, and how players connect with others on the court. Technical skill is important, but we also value coachability and growth mindset.

When will I hear back about team placement?

We will contact every player that attends our tryouts within 24 hours after tryouts conclude.
